Mario Montessori was born on March 31, 1898, in Rome. Due to societal expectations at the time, Maria Montessori never married, and Mario was raised privately.
1920s – Joins His Mother’s Work
As a young adult, Mario became Maria Montessori’s closest collaborator. He traveled with her, assisted in training courses, and helped refine Montessori materials.
1929 – Co-Founds the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)
