We start this new school year with immense joy and gratitude as we reflect on our journey at the Waterfront Academy. This year marks the 10th anniversary of launching our dual immersion (Spanish and English) faith-based Montessori program in Washington, D.C.
We are also thrilled to announce that we have been named runner-up in the Best Elementary category of the Washington City Paper Best of DC 2023 awards. This recognition is a testament to the unwavering support of our parents, students, and teachers, who make up the heart and soul of our academy.
Beyond our runner-up accolade in the Best Elementary category, we are thrilled to share that Waterfront Academy was also a finalist in several other categories: Best Middle School, Best Preschool, and Summer Camp. These nominations underscore our Montessori approach to education and the hands-on learning experiences we provide our students. To everyone who voted for us and supported us throughout the nomination process, thank you for believing in our mission and the impact we strive to make.
Looking forward, we are excited to continue our mission of providing a dual immersion (Spanish and English) faith-based Montessori school emphasizing charity and stewardship in the Catholic tradition. We also want parents to know that joining us for the upcoming 2023-2023 academic year is still possible. There are several spots available. Our program caters to children aged three years to 8th grade.
